Tuomas Aleksander Laitinen's most recent piece, Dossier of Tentacular, will premiere at the Darkroom space at Turku Art Museum between 26 January – 18 March. Dossier of Tentacular is a further exploration of the themes introduced in his most recent works, Receptor, which was included in Kiasma's ARS17 and A Porous Share, an exhibition seen in Helsinki Contemporary in 2017. Both of these works employed an artificial intelligence created by a customised neural network.
Currently Laitinen is working with a new piece for the 21st Biennale of Sydney, opening in March. The biennale is one of the leading international contemporary art exhibitions, and this year it is curated by the Artistic Director, Chief Curator of the Mori Art Museum Mami Kataoka from Tokyo.
